When someone finds out that I run they always ask, "So, you're a runner?", to which I would always reply, holding my thumb and forefinger barely apart, "well, yeah, but only a small r runner". I didn't view myself as an actual runner because I wasn't as fast as I thought a real runner should be. Well, I'm still not fast, but I've decided it's time to give up the small "r", because I've become passionate about running, and finally decided that, more than pace time, is what makes for a runner.
